Privacy Policy

Bookezy (bookezy.app) is an online quote and booking tool that local home-service businesses ("businesses") add to their websites. Bookezy is operated by Local Empower, Schenectady, NY. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information from customers who book

When you get a quote or book with a business through Bookezy, we collect what you enter: your name, mobile number, address, ZIP code, the service you picked, your answers to the quote questions and the time you chose. We use it only to schedule and confirm that appointment, send you texts about it (confirmation, reminder, changes, and a reminder when it's time for your next service), and pass it to the business you booked with. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Text messages

By booking, you agree to receive texts about your appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, and START to opt back in. Mobile numbers and opt-in information are never shared with third parties for marketing.

Information from businesses

Businesses give us their name, contact details, prices, service area and hours. If a business connects its Google Calendar, we access it as described below.

Google Calendar

If a business connects Google Calendar, Bookezy requests permission to (1) see when the business is busy, so those times can't be booked online, and (2) create, update and delete the calendar events for bookings made through Bookezy. We do not read the titles, descriptions or attendees of the business's other events; we only check free/busy times. Google sign-in tokens are stored encrypted. A business can disconnect at any time from its Google Account settings (Security → Third-party access) or by asking us.

Bookezy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not allow humans to read it except with the business's permission, for security purposes, or as required by law.

Service providers

We use Cloudflare (hosting and database), Textbelt (text messages), Resend (email), Google (calendar) and Stripe (payments from businesses). They process data only to provide these services.

How long we keep data

Booking records are kept while the business uses Bookezy so the business can see its job history and send next-service reminders. After a business cancels, we keep its data for 90 days in case it comes back, then delete it. A business or customer can ask us to delete their data at any time.
